Illustrator, Designer & Writer
Hello!

My name is Czacarri Muli and I am a Filipino-Irish creative based between Dublin & Drogheda. I’ve recently graduated from the National College of Art & Design, Dublin. My narrative approach to illustration, writing and storytelling seeks to connect people and inspire important conversations for tomorrow’s thinkers.

With pastels, paints, pencils and anything else on my desk, I bring a sense of warmth & care through textural making. Within my picture books I continue to champion voices and engage children in learning about big topics as I believe that the most important conversations take place within children’s books.

From being named an AOI Illustration Graduate to Watch 2026, receiving a SCWBI Silver Portfolio Award Medalist, obtaining the NCAD Staff Prize in 2026, being selected as Raising Voices Fellow 2026 by Children’s Book Ireland, a Young Writers Delegate 2025 by the Irish Writers Centre, to working on socially engaged research projects with Dublin’s community allotments, and collaborating with Fighting Words to tell the stories of residents living in Irish care homes, I am consistently committed to research-led projects that critically push beyond the decorative.

Exciting Things About MeMy name has a silent c in it, so it’s pronounced like Zachary.
I was born in Manila! (mabuhay), then moved to Ireland when I was 2 and have been based here ever since.
I love fragrance! I will talk your ear off about notes and experiences and I’ve even made my own.
Gifting flowers is really special to me - I am looking into pursuing floristry.
One day I hope to have a big enough collection of books to name it a library. My children’s book collection will be vast!

I am currently working on two manuscripts.
One is a non fiction about orchids that explores their cultural and biological histories, framed by a conversation between a curious boy getting ready for bed and the orchid on his windowsill.
The other is a storybook about learning to say your name with pride. A class trip to the botanic garden will change how a girl sees herself and the world around her with the help of a tour guide.
